Specialising in Landscape Construction is highly demanding when managing Health & Safety. The practical nature of the work means we must have a 100% commitment to upholding safe and compliant practices throughout the company. We therefore place huge value and importance on getting it right and ensuring all our operatives have the correct equipment, together with the correct training and awareness.
All our operatives hold CSCS qualifications as a minimum, with additional training given for specialist plant operators, operatives working at height, new starters and apprentices.
Ongoing Operative Training
Valley Landscape Construction conduct regular toolbox talks with practical installation teams, which cover all aspects of the daily working environment, and are also used to relay information regarding specific site conditions and tasks. In addition to our comprehensive training, all our works are planned and assessed using project and task specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments, including COSHH and HAVS Assessments.
External Health & Safety Partners
To ensure our workforces safety and our conformity to the latest legislation, we employ the services of an industry leading external Health and Safety Consultancy. Having this external partner we can be sure we are able to educate and train all our staff to the highest standards, and be the first to implement new industry changes. This brings our clients peace of mind with the knowledge we are pro-active with our approach to Health & Safety.
We also employ a dedicated Health & Safety Compliance Officer responsible for implementing these strategies.
